Focal Point Academy Terms and Conditions

I. Corporate Ethics Policy

It is the policy of Focal Point Academy and its affiliates to conduct business in an honest and forthright manner. Employees and affiliates of Focal Point Academy are expected to uphold a consistent standard of integrity in all business dealings.

Consistent with this objective, all individuals are required to comply with applicable company policies, local and federal laws, and professional regulations in the course of conducting business. Violations of these standards will not be tolerated.

To maintain consistent standards of integrity:

  • Individuals shall not engage in any activity that could influence, or appear to influence, their objective business judgment.

  • No individual shall engage in illegal or unethical actions involving any person or organization doing or attempting to do business with the Academy.

  • Accurate records and documentation must be maintained following company guidelines.

  • Supervisory personnel are responsible for communicating, explaining, and monitoring compliance with this policy, and for reporting violations to company leadership.

 

If there is uncertainty about the ethical or legal appropriateness of an action, advice should be sought from senior management or legal counsel.

Failure to comply with this policy may result in disciplinary action, including termination. Violations of law may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

This policy applies to all employees, directors, officers, contractors, vendors, and volunteers providing substantial services to Focal Point Academy.

II. Ethical Business Relationships

To maintain a reputation for ethical conduct:

  • Individuals must avoid any conflict of interest or appearance of conflict in their business relationships.

  • No individual may have a financial interest in or hold a position with a supplier unless approved and disclosed as per company guidelines.

  • Gifts or gratuities with a market value above $250 must be justified in writing and approved by a senior executive. Justifications will be filed with the company’s HR department.

  • Confidential or proprietary information acquired in the course of employment must not be used for personal gain.

  • Any situation potentially representing a conflict of interest must be immediately reported to the company’s leadership.

 

III. Whistleblower and Reporting Policy

Focal Point Academy encourages the reporting of unethical or illegal activities. Every employee, contractor, and affiliate is expected to maintain honesty and integrity.

Anti-Retaliation Commitment: Retaliation against individuals who report violations in good faith will not be tolerated. A good faith report is one made with a reasonable belief that a violation has occurred, without knowingly submitting false information.

IV. Use of and Accounting for Company Funds and Assets

  • Company funds or assets must never be used for illegal or improper purposes.

  • All financial transactions and records must be documented accurately.

  • Internal controls shall ensure:

    • Proper authorization of transactions.

    • Accurate recording to permit preparation of financial statements.

    • Restricted access to assets.

    • Periodic audits and reconciliations.

 

Periodic compliance reviews will be conducted by authorized personnel. Individuals with financial or asset responsibilities will be required to sign an annual Ethics Statement.
