Firearm and Ammunition Safety Policy

Safety First and Always

By enrolling in any course, you agree to follow all safety protocols, legal transport requirements, and instructor directives. Your cooperation helps create a safe and professional training environment for everyone

General Classroom Rules

  • Do not bring firearms or ammunition into the classroom unless specifically required for your course.

  • All firearms must be:

    • Unloaded

    • Cased or holstered

    • Transported in compliance with California law

  • Live ammunition is strictly prohibited in classroom environments.

Live-Fire Training Policy

Live ammunition is permitted only at the shooting range during designated live-fire sessions.

Students must:

  • Bring the correct caliber(s) for their qualification

  • Wear eye and ear protection at all times

  • Follow all instructor commands, range rules, and safety briefings

CCW Permit Holder Exception

Students with a valid California CCW permit may carry a firearm while attending class, but must:

  • Notify the instructor before class

  • Keep the firearm holstered and secured at all times

  • Never handle the firearm unless instructed

  • Present valid CCW documentation upon request

Prohibited Conduct & Items

To maintain a safe learning environment:

  • No loaded firearms are allowed in classroom areas (except as permitted above)

  • No unsupervised handling of firearms at any time

  • No live ammo is allowed outside of live-fire portions

  • No aggressive or unsafe behavior will be tolerated

Safe Storage & Transport

Students are responsible for the safe and legal transport of all firearms and ammunition to and from training facilities.

  • We recommend using lockable cases

  • Do not leave firearms unattended at any time

Instructor Oversight

  • Instructors reserve the right to inspect any firearm or equipment

  • Failure to follow these policies may result in removal from class without refund

  • Safety violations may be reported to law enforcement or BSIS where applicable
